Obituary for Ruth Ann Strohl

Ruth Ann Strohl, 74, of Lehighton passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lehighton. She was the wife of Sterling S. Strohl for 47 years. Born in Stroudsburg she was the daughter of the late Floyd J. and Ruth E. Buskirk. She was a graduate of Chestnut Hill High School
Ruth Ann worked as a sewing machine operator for Scotty’s Fashions in Lehighton and Maria Rose in Palmerton for 42 years. She was a past member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trachsville. Ruth Ann loved cooking and working in her flower garden.
She is survived by her Husband, Sons; Sterling J. husband of Sherry of Lehighton, Kermit C. husband of Tammy of Weissport and Robert W. companion of Bernie Vachon of Lehighton, Daughter; Sandra Costenbader of Quakertown, 7 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by Sisters; Susan and Betty.
A funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 1st at 11AM at Schaeffer Funeral Home 3rd & Alum Streets Lehighton with Reverend Christopher deForest officiating, Committal Service to follow at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery. Calling Wednesday, November 1st from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Schaeffer Funeral Home, Lehighton, in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at
