Obituary for Geraldine M. Gombert

Geraldine M. Gombert, 84, of Hometown and formerly of Lehighton passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Hometown Nursing Center. Born in Lehighton she was the daughter of the late Florence (Brownsword) Carrigan.
Geraldine worked as a Floor Girl for the former Barson & Bishop Factory in Lehighton for many years, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lehighton.
Geraldine was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.
She is survived by her Son and caregiver; Randy Gombert fiancé of Jill Zwiesdak of Summit Hill, Daughter; Merland Steigerwalt companion of Randy Schlier of Walnutport, Sister; Dolores Polk of Lehighton, Grandchildren; Randy, Shannon, Jamie and Janie, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her Brother, Richard Carrigan and Sister, Jean Horn.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 10:30AM at Lehighton Cemetery 4th & Alum Streets Lehighton with Vicar Richard Bergen officiating. Schaeffer Funeral Home, Lehighton, in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at
