Obituary for William H 'Bill' Ruch Jr.

William H. “Bill” Ruch Jr., 85, of Lehighton passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Gloria (Wentz) Ruch for 66 years. Bill was a welder for Steamfitters Local 420 in Allentown for many years, retiring in 1994. Born in Lehighton he was the son of the late William H. and Lily (Meyers) Ruch Sr. He was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School. Bill was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Air Force. He was a member of People’s E.C. Church in Lehighton and was a past member of the Lehighton American Legion Post 314 and Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club. Bill loved fishing, camping and traveling. He is survived by his Wife, Sons; Jason and Gregory of Lehighton, Grandchildren; Jason Jr., Alexis and Greg Jr., Great-Grandson; Skylar and Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by Brothers; Mark & Glenn Ruch and Emil Cox and Sister; Viola Ruck. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 11:45AM at People’s E.C. Church 216 Wagner Street Lehighton with Reverend Michael Coulson Officiating. Committal Service will be private.
